Loving these! They give the feel of vintage wallpaper... don't they? Check out byrdiegraphics's etsy shop for more designs and tons of color options.

There are a lot of wall decals out there right now, but these are the prettiest and classiest I've seen. Great colors and simple designs...totally gonna order some for the new digs :)

Our New Apartment!!

It's official. I am in LOVE! Ok, so the outside picture doesn't do its charm justice ... but I am way too impatient not to share my glee this very minute!

So excited to show you the inside once we move (in mid-July), and to track its transformation!

The only thing more exciting than the wood floors and exposed brick is the awesomeness of the two other girls who will also call it home :)

Novel Nauticals

Haven't been inspired to blog lately... probably because it's been "hotter than the hinges of hell" in Richmond (thank you, Suzi Hopper) But these lovelies broke my slump. They're printed on antique book pages. Aren't they cool?!

I always love nautical things- they remind me of my home sweet Annapolis on the bay. Very Anthropologie-esque, I think. Go to BlackBaroque's etsy shop (Pay no mind to the gothic name or the skulls on the shop banner. Girl's got awesome prints for ten bucks!) Which are your favorites?

A Father's Day idea...

I thought this card was so sweet, and very frameable for a great gift!

If your dad is anything like mine, he probably doesn't spend much time perusing design blogs or buying beautiful letterpress notecards. (Nor does he have any clue what either of those even are). But...

... he loves YOU! And sentiments like this always mean a lot to him. A new tie will just get mixed up with the old ones he bought for himself; but a meaningful print will always remind him that he's loved and remembered.

(Found this one at velocityartanddesign.com. Such a fun site! Too late to order for Father's Day... but I'm going to find another sweet card to frame instead!)

Jill Sanders

This is one of the most beautiful paintings I've seen in a while. Her patterned dress. The muted background. The simple wood floor. I love it. It certainly provided me with my daily dose of delighting!

You should definitely go look at the artist's website, and the rest of the series called "Roaring 20s": http://jsandersart.com/twenties.htm. So pretty. And I talked to Jill, who said this series will soon be available as prints. HOORAY! I'll keep you posted.

DIY projects, and some Before & After shots coming soon. If only I could find my camera cord... typical.

Summer Scent

Just bought this Method handsoap at Target last week...talk about a simple joy! Now every time I wash my hands I get a little burst of happy. It literally smells exactly the same as if you'd just cut open a fresh ruby red.

Whisks me right out of my teensy little creaky-floored, leaky-fauceted bathroom. And they make an all-surface cleaning spray, too!

The perfect gift for any gal!

Need a gift idea? I'm obsessed with these Whitney English personalized notesheets. Her stuff is usually really pricey- but these are totally doable even for little ol' me. Want a thrifty hint? Just buy the set of refills! You get 75 sheets for only $18, and they come in an adorable gift-ready box. Hooray!

Head to http://thepapercafe.net/acclho.html (my mom's stationery website!!) to see all of your choices. I love love love mine, and use them all the time. My sweet mom treated me to two sets since my attempt to "just choose one!" led to weeks of stressful indecision. Good luck with that. Or... just buy two :)

Hadley Hutton prints

Hadley was a featured artist in Richmond's "Skirt" magazine last summer whose work caught my eye. I was a happy girl when I found out her prints are accessible and affordable. I knew I loved her :)

You can see more of her mixed-media prints at http://www.etsy.com/shop/hadleyhutton. This one is called "With In." Two of my other favorites are "Two Robins" and "Drift Dress."

I love that each of her prints go beautifully together without being too matchy-matchy.

Which are your favorites??

A ranunculus by any other name....

... would sound a lot more lovely. Aren't they beautiful, though!? These are a tad hard to find in Richmond, but Whole Foods usually pulls through when I need an extra bit of happiness to brighten up my life. Joy in a vase.

And since they're my favorites, I've been looking for a frame-worthy ranunculus print forever (ok, actually just really incessantly for the past 2 days) and this is THE one. Just ordered it. So excited! http://www.etsy.com/shop/dandeliondaydream. Check out Leila's other pretty pictures too!
